Heightened Expectations

So one day, a while back, I was listening to music via YouTube and if you’re anything like me, you have songs that speak to you during different seasons of your life and are always on replay (YouTube hurry up and do auto-repeat!). Like the song needs to sink into your spirit, soul and brain especially when the song says what you feel but couldn’t put words to. Before I become too deep, let me kuku carry on with what I wanted to share with you in this post.

So while changing songs like a DJ (not), I noticed myself doing something. Let’s assume I really wanted to listen to song C, I’ll start playing the album or playlist from song A. I wasn’t sure why at first but I finally figured it was me creating a heightened sense of expectation. So that when song C finally plays, I can thoroughly enjoy it because I’ve been looking forward to it for a while. Even though that ‘while’ is usually under 10 minutes!! Hehe….

Now imagine if I, if you, applied this to the promises and prophecies from GOD over my life, over your life. In this example, I knew the song I really wanted was coming. As in there was no doubt because it was right there on the playlist and so with patience and faith (not that I need much of that), I wait for its arrival and savour it when it finally shows.

How much more GOD’s promises over our lives?

As in, you know that “by two immutable things in which it is impossible for GOD to lie” (Hebrews 6:18).

As in you know that “HE has magnified HIS WORD above all HIS name” (Psalms 138:2).

As in you know that “no WORD of GOD shall ever return to HIM void but shall accomplish the things for which it was sent and shall prosper in it” (Isaiah 55:11).

As in you know that “all GOD’s promises are Yes and Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

We know all these things and they really should keep us in faith believing that those things which HE said shall come to pass (Mark 11:23). We too can with faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12). And when those promises finally come, because they will, because GOD said so, we can savour them because we stayed in faith and waited with patience and with great expectation.

What has GOD said over your life that seems to be further along on your life’s playlist? I want to encourage you as much as I’m encouraging myself to live in great expectation for the vision shall speak, though it tarry, wait for it, it shall surely come, it will not tarry (Habakkuk 2:3). The playlist has begun, wait well for your song.

Your song shall play. Your promise shall appear. Your vision shall speak. Your word shall be made flesh. Your desires shall be granted. Your victory is sure. Your GOD is for you!

Live in faith! He loves to see you and I happy, loves to see you and I in fullness of joy, loves to love on us and how very well HE does that!

To be honest, I’ve had this blog post title written down for months now and didn’t really think much of it till now as I didn’t want 7 days to pass between consecutive posts.

And I feel GOD showed me what I’ve just shared with you as I was writing it. I hope it blessed and spoke to you as much as it did me. I’ll likely come back to read it myself to encourage myself in the LORD like David and Abraham.

To your living in great faith, patience and expectation of what GOD has said about and over your life, . . .
