A while back, I did a post on how we can hear different when we really pay attention to what they are listening to, reading or saying. At least that’s what tends to happen with me sometimes. You can read the first post here.
In this second part, or should I say edition, I’ll share a few more of other things I’ve heard differently with a brief description of what message it inspired in me.
This came to my mind once when there was a ‘break’ from singing during a Sunday worship time. We had been singing Majesty by Michael W Smith and the instrumentalists were just playing allowing us to sing to God in our own words. And I just remember thinking MAJESTY stands for ‘Me And Jesus Make Jest of the enemy’. Those words brought and still brings a smile to my face. So I hope it inspires you too and reminds of your union of God. And if you’re not in relationship with Him yet, this is a good time to make sure that you accept Him into your life as your Lord and Saviour, believing in Him with all your heart. GOD’s greatness helps us settle into peace as the enemy has nothing on us to have any say in our level of joy, peace, hope and love. Enjoy it!
I think this one is quite straightforward in my opinion. It is easy to see this could be your declaration over yourself that you are neither a weakling nor a weak link. You have the strength to do all that God has called you to do. Remember, you can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you. And since you are not just a mere accident, but have been created by God Himself, you have greatness inside of you. Be conscious of that and do not let anyone put you down. Never!
And just for fun, this last one. I am not a fan of looking at the lyrics of songs as soon as I hear a song for the first time, until I think I’ve tried hard enough to hear what is being said but still have not managed to. This was how I sang this song till I finally looked at the lyrics to see what it actually said. When I learnt the correct words, I had to laugh at myself. While my version is not what Hillsong sang, there’s still some truth in it. Your night season can feel strange but your continued praise to God and rejoicing always drives out any darkness.
That’s all for today, folks. To your hearing a different meaning in your everyday that will inspire hope, joy and peace in you . . .
